When the chance presented itself for a beach getaway, my college buddies and I set out on an exhilarating trip from Pampanga to the stunning San Felipe Beach in Zambales. Here’s a snapshot of our incredible experience.

Reuniting with friends is always an exciting experience, and traveling after the chaotic pandemic was long overdue. Our group decided that a beach getaway was the perfect way to catch up, reminisce about our university days, and make new memories before the year comes to a close. After much consideration, we decided on Liwliwa San Felipe Beach in Zambales due to its reputation for being a secluded destination with pristine shores and natural beauty.

With my friends scattered all over Pampanga, we had to get an early start for our trip to San Felipe. We hopped into a car, stocked with snacks, music playlists, and a lot of energy. As we left the urban surroundings of Pampanga behind, we were greeted by winding roads and gorgeous greenery. The further we went, the more our excitement grew. Escaping the city and discovering the province’s beauty was an incredible experience.

Our arrival at Liwliwa Beach was a moment of pure bliss. The peaceful atmosphere created an instant feeling of paradise. As soon as our feet sank into the soft, white sand, we knew we were in for an unforgettable time. Although I was recovering from surgery and couldn’t participate in many activities, I enjoyed basking in the sun while my friends frolicked in the chilly waves and sand. The beach provided us with an ideal backdrop for capturing Instagram-worthy photos and making unforgettable memories.
As we shared stories and made new memories, the gentle sea breeze and the calming sound of waves crashing against the shore created a lovely atmosphere, making it a day to remember.

A trip to a coastal town wouldn’t be complete without savoring local cuisine. We indulged in fresh Filipino meals during during the night such as Kare-kare, Sisig etc.
We’ve enjoy our meal with a sip of shake, and we savored every bite.

As the sun dipped below the horizon on our unforgettable day at Liwliwa Beach in Zambales, our college reunion took on an even more magical twist. 2023 was just around the corner, and we decided to make the most of the moment by combining holiday traditions with our beach escapade.
As we gathered around a cozy bonfire we had set up on the beach, we started with a light-hearted game of “Would You Rather.” The game was a blend of fun and thought-provoking questions, causing fits of laughter and friendly debates among us.
The game brought out our competitive spirits and challenged our creativity. In the end, it was less about the choices we made and more about the joy of connecting through a simple game.
Gift Exchange
To bring a touch of holiday season to our beach adventure, we decided to exchange gifts. We had secretly picked names and spent the last few weeks searching for thoughtful presents. The exchange added an extra layer of excitement to our gathering.
